Biden Stimulus Package

Recommended Posts

$1.9TR proposed just weeks after the $900B with main elements being top-up stimulus checks of $1,400, increase in supplemental unemployment benefits of $400 per week until end of September, $400B in local and state aid, and various other bits and pieces.

And an infrastructure bill to come in February that will also probably be in the trillions.

How likely is it this passed? Or will gridlock in the Senate mean the final figure will be negotiated way down.

This will pass.  They have the votes in the House, Senate and support from the President.  Trump put his party in a bad position when he wouldn't pass the original bill...now the Democrats got what they wanted and the U.S. gets a huge long-term bill to pay!  Cheers!

I'd prefer 5T, 1.9 is for children. It's a high ROI investment anyway. Especially when the government must allocate it, with a deadline.

Why not more? Because optically peoples psychology would find it untenable for now. That will come to pass. Next up 10T.

10T would help WAY more people than 5T.....with 10T we could feed the poor outside our country and build schools

for them. We can't go on letting people die ANYWHERE, when obviously we can give them money and a smartphone. Naturally when you can save an African child with a mosquito bed net for 100$ it makes more sense to allocate the govt money there then to give our poor an extra 100$ for food this month. The good news is with 10T, we can do both, AND much more! Why don't you CARE about African children? Who possibly could be against saving African children's lives? This must be done, now. Investing in children, is our future.

Like looking back on slavery now, our descendants will wonder why we didn't save everyone in the world from anything

they feel like everyone should have, RIGHT NOW.

We know we can afford it, because all the evidence is there, it always works, there are no unintended consequences.

We are all alchemists now.

We are all hypochondriacs now.
