mattee2264
Apparently after the election loss Trump has been in talks with his advisors about a strike on Iran who have apparently continued to quietly pursue its nuclear ambitions while the world was distracted with coronavirus. They advised against it. But Trump doesn't seem like the kinda guy to sit quietly for the next three months and help with a smooth handover. So with his election contest failing and no-one willing to give him much credit for the positive vaccine developments it seems logicial he wants his last act to remind people that he got touch on Iran after years of Democrat appeasement. And it was only a year ago that tensions escalated. Of course he would stand a much better chance if he'd won the election but he is still President and I imagine that the military are still hawkish and would welcome some action. I was actually hoping he'd do something drastic in the opposite direction. Start a quick and total withdrawal from Afghanistan and Iraq. Give a big middle finger to the Pentagon and the deep state. Maybe pardon Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning, Reality Winner, and Ross Ulbricht while he's at it. He should do something big and unexpected, but not bomb Iran. rkbabang
I'd be happy if he just did a shit-ton of these types of little things that make a real difference in people's lives. https://reason.com/2020/11/12/department-of-energy-rolls-back-obamas-dishwasher-restrictions/ Allowing phosphates back in detergents would be a huge one. My wife and I add Sodium Tripolyphosphate to the phosphate free detergent in every load of dishes and laundry we run, it makes a huge difference. Laundry comes clean, stains come out, and dishes are sparkling clear, just like they used to be before the regulations. And getting rid of gas can regulations that make them not work and spill all over the place would be great too.
LC
Just dump some lye in your laundry which is less alkaline than TSP. I can’t wait for the algae blooms. The gas can spouts I agree are nonsense.

Parsad
Trump Jr. and one of Giuliani's sons have Covid now. no_free_lunch
I hope he does nothing other than troop withdrawals. If he can get troops out of Syria, IRq, Afghanistan it will be very hard for military industrial to get them back in. I truly believe that "rumor" about a strike on iran from trump is CIA disinformation. Basically a message to Iran, we are doing all we can but this guy is crazy, who knows what will happen if you proceed. I can only hope that trump and then Biden stay far far away from Iran. Let Israel and Saudi and useless Eu deal with that.. The only way NATO allies will ever pull their weight is if they're scared. That can only happen if the US pulls back. cubsfan
^ That's right. That's the brilliance of Trump. Break a little glass, everyone throws a hissy fit - and then they get in line. Unpredictability is a HUGE advantage when you are dealing with bullies. They can never predict when you will throw that knockout punch. Obama was such a pussy, the bad guys walked all over him and made him look like a fool.

Gregmal
Some of these fellows are hilarious and worth having around for the amusement factor. Covid literally controls them. And if it doesnt, its a close second to The Donald in terms of what owns their state of mind and well being. Such a bizarre way to live but in America, you're free to do whatever you please...unless you want to go sit down at a bar in NYC and have a cheeseburger and a drink... Gregmal
What are you doing on an investment board if you dont care about money? But in other news....since "all you care about is money" seems to be the odd little gotcha slogan lately... -how much money have you donated to charitable causes LTM? -how many hours have you spent volunteering for a cause LTM? -how much money have you forgone in pursuit of the greater things in life over the past 5 years? Feel free not to answer because we know you guys are full of shit, and again I'd probably place a penny or two on my answers to those questions making some of the "you only care about money" folks look pretty moneycentric. I guess its easy to virtue signal and play philanthropist from the basement while breathing through six N95s and holding a Clorox bottle close by while otherwise doing nothing. rkbabang
-how much money have you donated to charitable causes LTM? The question I always have for big government types is how much extra do you send to your government above and beyond what they say you owe? When you can choose which causes to support why do you not choose your government? If taxation is the best way to solve every problem in society shouldn't all of your charitable giving go to the US Treasury?
ERICOPOLY
Perhaps the title could be: "Could Trump go out with a whine?" Hillary called Trump and conceded the day after the election and Obama invited Trump to the White House immediately. And despite that, the Republicans still called the Dems "sore losers". If they were sore losers, then this makes Trump a whiny pussy crybaby times a billion.

My preference is to pay for shipping of containers. It’s a lot easier to collect donations of goods from individuals and Companies in the US and Europe than it is to collect the funds needed for shipping. Most are headed to Africa. It’s a lot cheaper to ship a container from Spain than from Florida. So look to help with shipping there instead of the US.
