Castanza
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ Sick burn dood How complete is data on Covid globally? Probably nowhere near close to being accurate or complete. WHO estimated the other week roughly 750m people have had it. How’s that factor into the death rate? Why? How can you be sure? You are right. It’s surprising that Belgium, Spain and some of those other countries are ranked worse. The stats must be off. Ok maybe only 5 countries are doing worse. stahleyp
A big reason that the US is leading the deaths is because of the huge rates of obesity. https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/obesity-and-covid-19.html

Let's overlay this with the countries with a worse COVID fatality rate: San Marino, Peru, Belgium, Andorra, Spain, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador. Country - Obesity rate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_obesity_rate) USA - 36.20% (Rank #12) San Marino - Unavailable Peru - 19.7 (#109) Belgium - 22.1 (#81) Andorra - 25.6 (#49) Spain - 23.8 (#62) Brazil - 22.1 (#82) Bolivia - 20.2 (#104) Chile - 28 (#32) Ecuador - 19.9 (#108) It appears obesity is not a common factor amongst countries with a poor COVID fatality rate. Gregmal
What is really funny is that he was crankin it during a "virtual election simulation". Presumably a Biden win got him VERY excited. I'd imagine a lot of liberals would do the same. It means soooo much to them! Its kinda cute. I also think it's needlessly expensive (ie the best comes at too high of a cost). Also, Americans have very poor diets.

The only treatment is a diet and exercise. My point was that American obesity should be offset by the best medical care in the world...but it isn’t...the U.S. death rate is staggeringly high. Then it is probably due to mismanagement of resources and containment. Cheers!

And of course the older you are the higher the risk of fatality.
