Imagine how much pain and death could be directly and indirectly avoided if these cops in Wisconsin didn’t shoot an unarmed man in the back at point-blank range.

Sad that you can find the situation “LOL-worthy”

The cops are a separate story. These losers using an injustice as an excuse to set towns and businesses ablaze and violently go after anyone who disagrees with them is pathetic. And the irony of their "defund the police" and anti police rhetoric being met with cries of "HALP, Call the police" when people fight back is well deserved and yes, amusing. Two separate issues.

Exactly.  I have no love for the police.  Anyone who decides to become an enforcer for a violent gang of thugs is not a good person.  People should be outraged at the way police treat people of all races, but minority groups especially.  That said, you don't have a right to destroy private property because you are mad at someone else.  If these gangs of protesters were burning down police stations and torching police cars I'd be on their side 100%.  Just one of those situations like when the Communists fight the Nazis and you sit back and say Fck both sides.

Those kind folks were just trying to liberate vehicles and help them find better owners. These alt right hateful bigots were forcing them to stay out of the dealership. These gun loving idiots must be the 15% of Americans who are bad people like Biden told us about!

Be a good little subject, Paul:

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ...

According to your fairy-tale, those cops were "avengers who carried out god's wrath on the wrongdoer".

I don't know which bothers me most. The fact that they shot an unarmed man SEVEN times in the back or the fact that they shot the man, in the back, trying to kill him SEVEN TIMES at POINT BLANK RANGE and still missed killing him! Fortunately. It is bad enough that the moron tried to kill the guy who, as far as we know, did nothing illegal, was unarmed and trying to get away from these nuts, and (fortunately) still couldn't kill him despite their intentions.  And that is what we are relying on for protection? Seriously??

Let's assume that you're right and that God doesn't exist. Therefore, moral truths also do not exist...so if your worldview is accurate, we both believe in fairly tales! ;)

Therefore, moral truths also do not exist

Well that certainly isn't a valid conclusion. But hey, let's assume you're right and see where that gets us:

God doesn't exist, and neither do moral truths.

Well fine, you and these cops can go around proclaiming they have committed no violation of any morality.

But fortunately in this country we have a common law legal system which is not based on morality and does not care whether your god exists or not.

So they will (hopefully) rot in jail regardless of whether you think morality exists without supernatural origins, or not.

And the taxpayers of that city will hopefully be paying that man and his family a large sum of money.

God does exist and has given humanity a moral code to follow:

Well, these police officers are simply "avengers of god's will against the wrongdoer" as your book clearly states.

But they will hopefully still go to jail, except this time society will have directly opposed a "moral code" from the bible.

And you, as a faithful subject, can go around supporting two cops who maimed and tried to murder an unarmed man.

How you can sleep with yourself believing this to be the case, I do not know.

Keep it up. Keep advocating your position. Keep trying to explain why your position is right. Over and over. Keep explaining how every thing that happens fits with your position.

Of course, the other side is wrong. Very wrong. Keep pointing out how wrong the other side is. How very wrong.

————————————-

And we watch in horror as more people die.

————————————

But please, please. Just explain to me some more about how your side is right. And how the other side is so very, very wrong...

You likely want to dig into the details some more - here is the latest:

There was an outstanding warrant out for Blake's arrest - for 3 charges, including domestic violence.

Officers were called to the scene by Blake's ex-girlfriend, who is black. Blake had taken her car keys and was threatening her.

Officers were notified that Blake had outstanding warrants, when they arrived, they proceeded to arrest him.

He fought with 2 officers, he was tased, and escaped, made his way around the car - officers drew their weapons and ordered him to stop.

You know the rest - he reached in his car and was shot.

His prior charges were pulling a handgun on a patron in a bar, domestic violence, and resisting arrest.

You can make him out to be a saint, just like Michael Brown (hands up, don't shot) or like George Floyd.

I figured I'd post this, just in case CNN and MSNBC leave out some compelling detail.

Since when is it ok to fight police officers when you are a fugitive from justice?

LOL I was wondering how long it would be before someone dared mention the actual circumstance. Too many folks drunk on emotion...not surprising for the average dunce cap American and the tweet happy ball dribblers, but surprising for supposedly sophisticated investors here.... Oh well.

Cubsfan, thanks for the explanation. I get it. He got what he deserved. Thanks for clearing that one up for me.

Well, no. Not yet. I think he still has to face charges.

EDIT: I will say though, this thread is getting off topic. The thread is about crybabies calling to defund the police, destroying property, assaulting random people, going after and encouraging harm to all police officers and being tough guys...until of course the tables get turned. And then they beg for...."the police! HAAAALP!

Much like the Occupy Wall St folks I regularly ran into when I worked in the city. So brazen. Then November rolled around and temps dropped below 50 and they all went back to mom and dad's basement for warm food and cable tv....total frauds.

No one deserves anything like this that is for sure.

I live 30 miles from Kenosha and everyone around here is talking about it.

But here's a nice clip for you of what can happen when you let the arrestee try to get back into his car to retrieve a weapon.

What would you do if you were a cop??

It's not off topic though. You have a BLACK female calling the police for help. The WHITE officers respond to help a BLACK female who is being threatened.  Blake had a warrant issued for his arrest on July 8 - for 1) Sexual Assualt 2) Trespassing 3) Domestic Abuse.

Perhaps this BLACK female was in danger?

If this were your daughter - would you have a problem with the police attempting to arrest this man?

Would you allow Blake to get in the car to retrieve a weapon?

Would you allow Blake to get in the car and drive away with 3 children, on a high speed pursuit?

The world is upside down when BLM condemns police for protecting BLACKS from CRIMINALS.

Why don't you just watch the video and tell me how it was justified.

3 cops couldn't tackle a guy who they just tazed, who weighs maybe 170 lbs, as he SLOWLY walks to his car.

Atrocious.

Fine LC - just let him get into the car and see what can happen:

If you are a cop, you better feel awfully lucky.

I agree with you on this one Cubsfan...I don't understand why people keep walking away or turn their back on cops when they've warned you.  Just comply.

But I 100% disagree with you on George Floyd...he complied, he told them he couldn't breath, and they killed him.

Big fucking difference between the two cases, and you are blindly saying they are the same.  They are not the same at all!  Cheers!

Sure they could have LC.  At the same time, why the hell was he walking back to his car instead of complying.  If he was really worried about his kids, he would have quietly complied.

The part I do agree on is why shoot him 7 times and 20 shots in all?  That's reckless and stupid...but the cops had no idea if he had a gun or weapon by his seat, or if he would try and drive away.  Cheers!

If he was so worried about his kids he probably should have checked his behavior before it got so bad that his "baby mama" or whatever he probably calls her felt threatened enough to get law enforcement involved. Thats just another after the fact, bs lets turn the criminal into a saint, excuse we see over and over again. Very different than what happened to George Floyd.

No need to split hair Parsad. I never claimed that George Floyd deserved to die.

I hope the cop that killed him gets thrown to the black gangs in Minnesota's toughest prison.

Those guys will take care of him

I feel very sorry for George Floyd. He was drugged up out of his mind - all you have to do is watch the

entire arrest video. He did not want to be put in the squad car as he was having a panic attack.

He asked to be put on the ground. Then the cop killed him.

It's not the same -  he was not a saint. But the cop was worse.
