Gregmal
In the covid thread, Liberty mentioned he would have settled for Romney. Which reminded me of this gem. My god how you guys always have all the answers. And like Obama's "the 80s called".....dismiss reality and mock people who's facts dont vibe with your narratives. Ironically, several years later, all they do is bitch and moan and talk about Russia! If indeed Russia is a problem, they fully deserve to eat it now. Nor should they be able to complain. They made their choices. If Romney had won when he should have, Trump never exists as POTUS. Reap what you sow. Enjoy!
cubsfan
Now that is a great clip- what a bunch of hypocrites - Obama, Wolf Blitzer and CNN - they can never keep their lies straight!
Parsad
First of all, your post is simply baiting and trying to incite a fight. Second, forget all of the criminal investigations against Trump...just look at all of the retarded things he says. And I agree with him on a few things like dealing with China, dealing with the illegal immigrant problem, fixing (not simply wiping out) Obamacare, etc. But the man and his two sons are morons! And when I say morons, I'm not trying to be facetious, but they really probably do have IQ's around 80 and like Aunt Becky probably had people write their SAT's. You can go on and pick on the so-called libtards, Talibs, AOC's, etc...but Trump is President and his children are his advisors! They are complete idiots who should not hold the positions they hold! So, please stop your baiting posts and stop defending this buffoon, other than on actual policy matters which you might agree with. Because you simply cannot defend his stance on non-policy issues without giving credence to the racist, bigoted undertones he supports through his tweets and words. Cheers! This was a monumental moment in US politics. It is what ultimately set the stage for someone like Trump. It was when substance officially got thrown out the window in leu of a soundbite or a Twitter-ified snippet. Mitt Romney was pretty easily the greatest and most qualified presidential candidate we've seen in the last 2-3 decades. And Barack Obama, with full fledged arrogance and plenty of help from the left, dismantled him with ease, by dodging substance and mocking him with gotcha catchphrases and likable snippets meant for Twitter. I remember watching this specific debate and seeing this exchange and thinking, "he isn't going to actually get away with responding to this issue like that, is he?". And sure enough he did. And the fools that make up enough of Americas voter base to elect a president totally fell for it. So when you get some animal like Trump, who is only concerned with posturing, soundbites, and the next "95,000 like Twitter post", remember who set the table. Can you please stop talking out of both holes! You say, that Romney was the most qualified candidate in the last 2-3 decades, but Republicans showed him the door when Trump arrived. The clip shows exactly what was said...Romney first indicated Russia was the biggest threat, then clarified that North Korea and Iran were also substantial threats...and somehow, this one clip is a "monumental moment" in U.S. politics. Romney has always lost because of two reasons: People have a tough time relating to him and he disappears when the moment arrives. Cheers! rb
Greg's posts are comical. Romney was easily the greatest and the most qualified presidential candidate in 2-3 decades? LMAO. In the last 3 decades we had as presidents (aside from the T man): Ronald Regan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama. Easily the greatest and most qualified? Please... Romney was definitely qualified to be president but so was pretty much every other candidate over the past hundred years or so. Until Trump the issue if a candidate would be qualified wasn't something people worried about. The idea that Romney didn't win because Obama mocked him is laughable as well. Romney didn't win because Obama was the better candidate and Romney didn't excite Republicans because Republicans were by that point already a bunch of loony tunes waiting for Trump and Romney was too rational/decent/qualified for their taste. These type of posts read the same as the reaction of an abusive husband that looks at the destruction around him and yells "Look what you made me do!" Just like the abusive husband, the MAGA crowd, a bunch of immature petulants, put an overgrown baby in charge who broke things and now a responsible adult will have to come in and clean up the mess. Because he couldn't win when he had the chance. And yea, Russia, North Korea, and Iran....all the guys we're talking about as threats...but he was wrong because "gotcha, the 1980s called"... I dont know what you consider a decade, but Reagan was the certainly not a candidate in the past 20-30 years. You do finance? Numbers. Ouch. Otherwise, you respond like your hero, with soundbites. Romney didnt win because Obama was the better candidate? Sophisticated. Obama tore Romney apparent by continuously mocking him for being "out of touch", "wealthy", and "another Bush". Remember the "he goes on vacation with a dog crate on the roof of his car" episodes? This after disparaging John McCain through the entire 2008 election as "Dubya 2.0". Ironic, as much like the "I'd take Romney Liberals", now McCain is revered by the left as a "great Patriot and true independent thinker"... When you look at Romney, he's got flaws as they all do and has aged into more of a politician but he brought business acumen and somewhat of an outsider perspective to the table, the same things people liked about Trump, while also doing much of what Trump does poorly, quite well. Who in the past 2-3 decades from a primary candidate had the business experience Romney did? Bush with the Texas Rangers? Clinton with Whitewater? Then again you see what the left did to Bloomberg and poor Howard Schultz when they attempted to enter the ring. But yea, Obama just won because he was the better candidate. Trump won because he was the better candidate. Upper echelon analysis there.
cubsfan
It's real simple guys. Neither McCain or Romney, while both very good candidates - lacked ONE QUALITY that Trump possessed. The guts to fight Democrats on their own terms. That is the why Trump won. And that is why the Democrats hate Trump. All this crap about Trump is racist, a Russian lover, a Ukrainian puppet, stole the election, blah, blah, blah is SO FAR FETCHED and ridiculous - Americans have caught on. McCain and Romney cowered in fear whenever it was insinuated they were racists or bigots, etc. Trump does not flinch - he fights back. The number one reason to re-elect Trump is because Americans are tired of being called racist, bigoted, etc - and they want a FIGHTER. Gregmal
Follow the pathetic timeline and series of events that shape these people chasing their tails continuously. Trump is a joke of a candidate, he'll drop out Trump is a flash in the pan, no way he gets the Republican nomination Hillary will crush Trump, not worried Trump won't accept the election results when he loses Russia and Trump cheated to steal the election (as Hillary refuses to accept the election results and the Obama administration scrambles to cover up their spying campaign against Trump before leaving office) Mueller's investigation is the end of Trump Ukraine will produce a "bombshell" Trump killed the "economy" and caused covid! Whats next in Wonka land?
