Parsad
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/28/sen-kamala-harris-winner-of-both-democrat-debate-nights-frank-luntz.html https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/29/politics/kamala-harris-responds-donald-trump-jr-race-african-american-black/index.html Who would have seen this coming? Now simply acknowledging she is Indian and Jamaican is trying to steal her "blackness" away or something. And Joe Biden, is apparently racist. Is the playbook really this simple? Kamala is an Indian name...that doesn't mean she isn't black, as many Indians over generations were transported during the slave trade to Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, etc. She is half Jamaican, which would be descended through negro blood...I wouldn't be surprised if there is some caucasian blood in her lineage...is she playing the race card if that was brought up? My great-great-great grandfather was an indentured labourer (essentially taken against his will) to Fiji by the British from India. There is probably some native Fijian blood in my family lineage, as well as some nepalese lineage from my Mom's side in Fiji. But I was born in Canada, which makes me a Canadian. How come these birther conspiracies are only brought up by white people against dark-skinned people? I don't see alot of people challenging Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, Joe Biden, Andy Yang or Elizabeth Warren on where they were born. So if this isn't racist, what is it? Cheers! Gregmal
Warren has been challenged because she uses it to work the system. I don’t care what anyone is, but in this case, Harris, who even her supporters say is weak on policy, rather cling to her diversity(an asset for her campaign) than rest her candidacy on things of substance. And not surprisingly, the game plan in attacking the front runner, Biden, is identity politics.

He's also the front-runner, so the Democratic candidates, as well as Trump, are going to do anything to demean him and win. I didn't see any criticism when Trump was saying "Biden is a low-IQ individual". Cheers!
Gregmal
Wouldn’t it be refreshing though, to have a candidate, that when faced with these opportunities to play the race card, instead said, it doesn’t matter what you think I am, here’s where I stand on issues xyz, how about you. Stop trying to divert the conversation from policy? Instead they just cling to their “don’t question my diversity, your racist” rhetoric. So old. Stop trying to divert the conversation from policy? Instead they just cling to their “don’t question my diversity, your racist” rhetoric. So old. Sure, that would be ideal. But if the candidate doesn't bring up race, those in their party or the opposition party will. How often was Clarence Thomas called an Uncle Tom by other blacks? How often did both whites and blacks say that Obama is black or white...never that he was both and could relate to both? How many people saw Tiger Woods as anything but black? How many people saw the Williams sister's only as black tennis players, not tennis players. Tiger actually rarely played the race card, nor did his father. The media and others brought it up...Fuzzy Zoeller brought it up...so even if the individual doesn't play the race card, others always will...for and against. Cheers! Gregmal
Yea and the bottom line is we are all people. Equals. So if we want to move past race as an issue, we should stop using it when convenient. On both sides. Koomala clearly does not think she can win, unless she maximizes the value of her "blackness" and gender. I'm not quite there yet on the gender thing. If you are born with a dick, you are a dude. Plain and simple. But even there; you want to be treated normally and equally, stop going out of your way to behave differently. You don't see straight people running around flamboyantly with belly shirts and tie died hair having straight pride parades. Heck, the couple that tried were branded bigots by the left. For doing the EXACT SAME THING as the LGBTABCDEFGHIJK crowd. How about we all just coexist, and stop crying about being treated differently while simultaneously bringing up how we are different when its convenient? Gregmal
Another race card https://www.yahoo.com/news/kamala-harris-trump-tweets-aoc-225702626.html Do they not have anything else?
