Parsad
As long as they are simply guiding voters to registration, there is nothing wrong with this. They are not putting out fake posts on Facebook talking about how Hillary should go to jail, etc. So to call it "fake news liberal media in a nutshell" is the same ignorant, rhetoric the President is guilty of when debasing journalists across the board. Cheers!

You're going to tell me that advertisers cannot use misdirection to get clicks to other sites? The only difference is that this was click bait for voter registration. They are not influencing the election, simply getting voters registered. Now if it went to a site that was pro/anti-Democrat or pro/anti-Republican, then yeah that's a problem. Cheers! Guest MarkS
That's just silly Parsad. Elle started out as a left leaning feminist magazine in France and has remained so through today. Their primary target audience is 16 to 34 year old women with disposal income. Odds are very likely that any reader clicking that link is left of center. So they don't have to link them to a democratic site to be effective. http://www.thefashionlaw.com/home/elle-the-making-of-a-modern-magazine

Don't equate a vote with whether a media outlet has a left wing or right wing readership. I wouldn't care if Breitbart did the same thing...as long as the link didn't suggest something negative or positive about which candidate to vote for. Frankly, any way you can get more voters to turn out, the less an argument can be made if someone won based on the popular vote or electoral college. Cheers! Guest MarkS
Apparently this relatively wide spread ploy is designed to sign up young women in the belief that they will vote for the Democratic candidate. (See numerous posts by Dingaan) https://www.teenvogue.com/story/fake-celebrity-news-stories-are-actually-voter-registration-links-social-media. Obviously leftist politics has become just "win baby" by any means necessary.

Obviously leftist politics has become just "win baby" by any means necessary. Why are you stirring crap up? Tell me any party (left-wing or right-wing) that doesn't want to win? The President's whole shtick is that he's a "winner", the "greatest economy", "we're the best", "you're losers", and you have no comment about that? But Democrats use current advertising practices to get voters registered and that's somehow different than any other legal tactic. Please find something real to complain about! Cheers! gfp
It sounds like what you are saying is it would be wrong for MTV to use a fake gossip headline to get young people onto a voter registration page because young people and MTV viewers probably skew Democrat. Seems like there are more pressing issues to get your panties in a bunch about. The more Americans that vote the better. Guest MarkS
Globalfinancepartners I went commando today. So I have no panties to get in a twist - but thanks for asking. So lying to a consumer (promising them juicy gossip but redirecting them to a completely different site) and also spreading malicious rumours about the marriage of someone, Kanye West, who's currently under attack by the left, are okay as long as you approve of the end result. Parsad
When a Republican does it, it's election meddling... Does what, exactly? IT! IT! Anything and everything! When a Republican wipes his ass, Democrats scream "election meddling"! When a Republican drinks a beer, Democrats scream "election meddling"! When a Republican writes an article, Democrats scream "election meddling"! Also when the President's son, son-in-law, and entire campaign staff organize, instigate and then meet with Russian affiliates to actually influence an election, Democrats scream "election meddling"! Cheers!

That's not ok, but instigating and perpetrating eight years of constant blather and insinuations that the President is a Kenyan-born muslim is ok? If Yeezy yelled out "Donald Trump hates black people", you wouldn't care one iota about his marriage or the so-called malicious rumours. Cheers! Parsad
The "fake news" cry and all of the other horseshit that comes out of Trump's mouth has lead to this: https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/clintons-obama-suspicious-packages/h_fb2dd1269ed568c8b88360dd26975add Somebody is going to get really hurt, and the right wing is simply going to say that it's a left wing conspiracy and probably a left-wing nut who perpetrated the whole thing to smear the right-wing. I should probably learn from your fine example and regularly spew hate at various Democrats who have advocated aggressiveness against republicans. And how am I spewing hate? But you clearly have a President (that you constantly defend) that has taken on a very hateful, divisive stance to the opposing party, allies, and just about anyone who gets in his way. I've talked about the purely liberal agenda that some people take on...for example, the rhetoric spewed on SNL or some other outlets, but you wouldn't admit that when it comes to the right wing rhetoric...just like how you became extremely defensive when I made the comment above.
