Here are Trump's approval numbers placed in an historical context.

https://news.gallup.com/interactives/185273/presidential-job-approval-center.aspx

Notably, Trump is unpopular in a period of a strong and improving economy with low unemployment.  The president during those years of struggle (Obama), was more popular at nearly all times compared to Trump's popularity thus far.

That graph shows that, before Trump, Clinton is the only one that hadn't enjoyed at least a brief period with an approval rating touching above 60% by this point in time.  Clinton only reached 58% briefly.

Excluding Clinton, the rest had enjoyed a period, however brief, of at least 70% by now.

One thing Trump has in common with Clinton is the sexual harassment claims -- Clinton denied them whereas they were the subject of Trump's boasting about grabbing women by the pussy.  Trump said his daughter, Ivanka, is a "piece of ass" on the Howard Stern show.  That will keep him unpopular in my opinion.

Of course, most notably in regards to Obama. He was hugely unpopular during his second term, when he did nothing legislatively

except issue damaging executive orders that have been largely overturned by Trump AND the Supreme Court.

His one accomplishment during his second term, to cement his legacy, was the humiliating Iran Deal, which has put the whole

Middle East at risk.

You will see Obama's large spike in popularity the last year of his term, when he completely disappeared from view, in order

that Hillary and the Democrats could disassociate themselves from the very unpopular and ineffective President he had become.

Obama did Hillary a huge favor by spending the bulk of his last year out of view - and on the golf course.

People have such short memories, don't they?

It should not be a surprise guys.  You must remember the media hates him, but the public does not.

I mentioned the "Silent Majority" - it does exist. The media has been wrong for over 2 years.

The polls were worthless during the primaries and election. The media is a echo chamber.

Did you ever wonder why before the election that anyone in favor of Trump did not speak up?

Because they were afraid of being labeled: sexist, homophobic, bigot, racist, etc - which is what the

media labeled EVERYONE who dared to speak up for Trump.

When you use words like "the public" and "majority" you make it seem like the majority of voting Americans cast their ballot for Trump, when this was not the case.

Geez, what a nit-picker.  The point was about the polls and the media which is 90% anti-Trump - and does NOT reflect the feelings of the American people.

Look no further than those geniuses the DAY before the election (polls & media), that said Trump had a 10% chance of winning.

The silent majority does exist. They are disgusted by the media and left.

NAFTA deal with Canada reportedly done.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/01/us-canada-nafta-trade-talks.html

This guy is making it look easy. Done more in 2 years than any president I've seen. Still, wah, wah the liberals cry.

On a side note, did anyone see liberal stronghold Saturday Night Live? Blasting Kavanaugh for the first 1/3 of the show only to segment to an interview with one of their cast members who apparently found it funny, and joke worthy, to talk about how he wants to switch out his girlfriends birth control and knock her up so she couldn't leave him? Where is the outrage? Oh yea, it's all fake. Unless I guess we'll see wicked witch of the west Diane Feinstein call for an investigation tomorrow. But I doubt it.
