rukawa
Graphic at the end is really interesting. 50% of the cost of iphone parts and labour are due to two countries: Japan and Germany. Only 3.6% goes to China. And 6% goes to the US. That of course is just considering cost of components and labour: https://www.marketplace.org/2014/05/20/business/ive-always-wondered/how-much-would-all-american-iphone-cost
Gregmal
Maybe then this would put the phones out of reach, price wise, of people who shouldn't be buying them in the first place. There's no reason for anyone making under $40K a year to be spending $500-$1000 on a phone. Yet MILLIONS do. I say this only partially facetiously.
