Parsad
For those that say that this board doesn't argue both sides, I thought I would just link this video of Trump's call with a Gold-Star soldier's family back in April, which is 180 degrees from what has been said about Trump in the news recently about another call. Interestingly enough, this was released by the Washington Post as well! Cheers! https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2017/10/19/listen-soldiers-widow-shares-her-call-with-trump/?utm_term=.21081491d17d
adesigar
Seemed like a genuine concerned/caring phone call. Cant even imagine how difficult it must be to make that call. Only thing was didn't see the soldiers name mentioned. I didn't listen to the video just watched it with the text so maybe I missed it. cobafdek
which is 180 degrees from what has been said about Trump in the news recently about another call It's another example of the wildly conflicting opinions about President Trump. When there are smart people on both sides, both sides can't both be right. So what's the truth? Cognitive science tells us that the truth is beside the point. Outside of the limited fields of math and physical science, the human mind cannot figure out the "truth." It did not evolve to understand reality, especially when it comes to politics and other emotionally charged arenas. It can only perceive patterns in life, try them out, and hope it helps you to survive and thrive. Here's another one to generate cognitive dissonance in the Trump haters: https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/915973929927397377

The man is a heinous liar of the first order...he's arguably a sociopath and able to adapt or twist anything so that it sounds like there may be a grain of truth to it. Somebody with that type of skill can easily distort opinions and create conflicting views. Cheers!
rb
To me it's surreal that we can have such discussions about the President of the United States. How low the bar has been set. Look... here's some gold star families that the president hasn't insulted. You have to give him credit for that.... Unbelievable. Virtually every president has had gold star families for whatever reason. They all just took it quietly. To go and "counterpuch" them would have been unfathomable. Now it's well that's just the President.

For every 50 acts...he gets 5 right...gets 20 completely wrong...and the remaining 25 he lies until he twists the truth enough to confuse everyone, or they forget after he throws out another twitter bomb to talk about! Did you start this thread to cite one of the 5-out-of-50 acts that Trump got right? Or, did the Washington Post document yet another one of Trump's insincere, sociopathic behavior, which is what I thought you might be hinting at in your first reply?
